Artists and Green Energy

Artists in Residence and 'hands on' with Green Energy tools and equipment.  The countryside is a fantastic environment for work and play.  Come and join us on this special Families Day - farm animals, artists and engineering!  What a challenge.

Artists in Residence

Ruth Aslett

I am an Oxfordshire based, acrylic animal portrait artist. I love the challenge of trying to capture the character, expressions and or movement in an animal and hope to bring out their unique personality and life into my artwork. I also take inspiration in the beautiful countryside in England and enjoy painting landscape scenes too. I welcome commission of your favourite furry friends.

Julie Grose

Sculptural blacksmith, Julie Grose, is a designer maker who makes metal sculptures and functional items from her forge in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, UK.

Julie creates a range of architectural ironwork, home wares and garden art, using traditional blacksmithing and fabrication methods incorporating contemporary and classic feminine design.

Whilst studying at Camberwell Art College in London, Julie found her love for blacksmithing. After completing her degree she travelled to learn and work the craft from a variety of metalworkers and blacksmiths before setting up on her own as a sculptural blacksmith.

Green Energy ~ Campaign for Real Events

Campaign for Real Events is a voluntary organisation promoting understanding of energy use and recycling. One of the main things we do is make and operate child sized pedal generators at Green events, community festivals and in schools.
